IES provides programs that are simple, flexible and
affordable to implement. The IES Area Director handles all the administration
from providing flyers and signing up students to hiring and training qualified
instructors. All that is required from the school is an adequate space for
meeting, and a means for sending information home with the parents to register
their child.
There are many different types of IES programs that can be
tailored to meet your school’s needs. Generally our programs fall into two
categories:
ON SITE-ENRICHMENT PROGRAM:
Many of our schools offer our most popular program, the
“club” program, in which small classes of 8-15 children meet for an hours a
week, before or after regular classes. An IES teacher conducts the classes, and
every 1 to 2 months the students receive a new audio tape and book, along with
a progress report for the parents. The enrichment program is an excellent beginning for children who have
never been exposed to a second language, and a positive reinforcement at school sites that already
offer in-school language classes.
An IES representative will handle all administrative duties
for your IES language club program. Your school need only provide us with an
adequate space for classes and a school calendar for each teacher. The parent’s
cost is $40-$45 per month plus an annual $20 registration fee per child. The
class size is 8-16 children per group.
Our “club” program can be offered as a larger group program
at $30-$38 per month and the class sizes are 17-22 students.
This program is set up as an optional program either before
school, after school, noon time or during an activity period in order for
students to enhance their current curriculum. The enrichment program classes
are offered one day a week for one hour. A
minimum number of students is required to offer any language.
PRE-SCHOOL and IN-SCHOOL CURRICULUM PROGRAMS:
IES has developed an “In-school curriculum program” which is
offered in many private and some public schools, as part of the regular
curriculum. Most schools chose to meet at least twice a week for a half hour.
As each school is different, our in-school program is flexible, affordable and
adjusts easily to fit your school’s structure, schedule and specific language
needs.
The cost per child averages between $10-$15 per month
depending upon the level of service that is provided. Students can receive
books and tapes for use in the classroom or as home reinforcement materials. An
IES teacher can be provided if your school does not have a qualified, bilingual
teacher on staff. A local IES representative will oversee the program and
insure continuing quality.
